After having reached again Division 4, team management has realized that establishing into the top 250 at the OCM Tour involves some improvement that has to do with drastic decissions. Stepping up to Division 3 will mean a radical focus on quality.
With some of our current stars over 30 years old or arriving to that point, only one of our talents seems to be in the way to replace them, as our main bet for the future, Benedict Steurs, is not reaching the level aimed and his results are being dissapointing over and over. We are currently in negotiations to look for a better solution for him and the team, so maybe a transfer could be the better option, leaving some cash flow to invest in new talents and letting him look for better luck in a different project.
Also some diversity in the internal groups, looking for some TT specialists and/or focusing a bit more into mountain riders (area which hasn't been that important yet in Zalom Team) is on the table.
As all this process could involve some long term work and falling down into lower divisions for a while, our marketing department has developed a new jersey which shows through simple lines and colours our determination and focus on a bright, successful and better future.

Sadly not, our palmares shelves are still empty. But that was a great race (with great description ;-D), Riel's best performance so far. Really proud of it.
Do they still give those microphone-like trophy in Abbey Road Race? Did Riel get one? :-) I am kind of proud of that description so just wanted to mention it, hehe :-)
Thanks a lot for your comments! Yes, lead outs are not a problem so far and Riel Robaino has been great winning races in Divisions 5 and 6, so looking for a younger and faster replacement for him could be my best option.
Well done! But I would agree with Frank there. You have good lead outs (Trimmel, Polo, Piedrahita), but no sprinting captain. Sell a few riders, especially Sonnleitner could be interesting for some CB teams, and get a good sprinting captain. Build on that sprinting focus instead of trying to find climbers - and you should be ok to move up to next division.
Good job getting into 4 th and good luck focussing in future. You could do with less riders and a more specialist captain
